A WEEK OF PRAYER
Prisons Week aims to encourage prayer and
awareness of the needs of prisoners and their families, victims of offenders,
prisons staff and all those who care, reflected in the Prisons Week Prayer
offered throughout the week:
TUESDAY: FOR VICTIMS OF CRIME
To be a victim of crime is to be the object
of exploitation or abuse by others, to have your life changed with immediate
effect. Hopes and dreams can be lost and the future turned to disappointment,
even despair. Faith can be tested to the limit and fear may trap us into a
continual cycle of distress, unable to move away from past events. We need
God’s help to break out and to press on. We need friends and loved ones to
teach us how to trust again, to support us in our suffering and affirm us in
our progress and perseverance, offering fresh hope for the future.
God of hope, be present with all those who
have become the victims of crime. Pour out your Holy Spirit into lives broken
and distorted by the actions of others. Surround those in distress with your
love, and the love of friends and family. Restore strength and confidence,
build resilience, bring healing and peace as they press on, and out of sorrow
bring joy. Lord, in hope we turn to you. Amen

BREXIT
Now this is the
confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will,
He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we
have the petitions that we have asked of Him. 1 Jn 5:14-15
We pray for David Davis and his
team and Michel Barnier and his team as they meet this week in Brussels. RUACH
HACHOKMAH Spirit of Wisdom we ask that You will guide the discussions so that
Your perfect will for the UK and the EU will be established. We pray that the
rights of EU citizens in the UK and UK citizens in the EU will be protected. We
ask that You will provide a supernatural solution for the border issue between
Northern Ireland and the Republic. We pray for good favour with each other so
that all the negotiations will be done to bring You all the Glory and the
honour. We ask that Your Shalom Peace will brood over the discussions. We pray
all this in and through the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen [First posted 28th

Your favour today. We ask that You would advocate for us today. We pray
that You would work on our behalf to clear any obstructions to a deal being
made at the Brexit negotiations taking place in Brussels. We trust that you
have led David Davis and his team and Michel Barnier and his team this far. We
trust that making the right deal with the EU is Your intent. Bless the
discussions taking place and all those taking part. We ask that Your perfect
will be established and the outcome will bring You the Glory and You the
Honour Father God, in Jesus Name we
