Father, we long for the day when the desert and parched lands of Britain & EU will be glad and the wilderness areas yet untouched by Your Spirit will rejoice and blossom!
Father, we long for the day when the desert and parched lands of Britain & EU will be glad and the wilderness areas yet untouched by Your Spirit will rejoice and blossom!
Open our blind eyes we pray, and help us to see
every area of our lives that has yet to submit to the Lordship of Jesus… (show
us these things as we wait on You).
Open our ears Father, that we might
hear and understand Your Word and the voice of Your Spirit… (quiet our noisy
minds as we wait on You).
Tenderize our hearts that we might
respond in brokenness and repentance… (give us we pray, the gift of tears as a
sign that You are softening the hard places of our hearts).
Psalm 51:1-2, 10-15; Psalm 80:7; Habakkuk 3:2; Isaiah 57:14-15
May the Holy Spirit flow from our lives
and cause every desert place to become streams of living water! Have mercy on
us O God! In Your great compassion, wash away all of our sin and cleanse us.
Create in us pure, clean hearts and
renew steadfast determination within us to follow hard after You. Restore to us
the joy we knew when we first found You and give us we pray, willingness to do
Your will. Father, we ask this that we might become those who You use to walk
alongside those who are still lost in their sin. Make us bold Father, and may
Your praise always be on our lips. Restore us, and may Your face shine on us,
for we long for more of You. We know of the awesome things that You have done
in the past, but we ask that You renew them in our day! In our lifetimes, make
them known! We ask that You remove every obstacle in our lives that’s in the
way of experiencing Your fullness. Your Word promises that You will
revive the spirit of the lowly and the heart of the contrite and so we choose
to humble ourself before You. Teach us and show us what this means-what it
looks like in our daily living. Destroy every area of pride in us Father, until
the humility of Jesus, His love and compassion, flows from our lives like mighty
rivers. And revive us Lord! For the sake of Your Church and a dying world,
revive us again and again! In Jesus’ holy name. Amen.
