Prayer for the Police
Ps. 23:1 Jehovah-Rohi: God our Shepherd we praise and thank You that according to John 10:11You know each
Policeman and Policewoman by name and You are their shepherd guiding and
directing them.
Ps. 23:2. I shall lack nothing— Jehovah-Jireh: The Lord
my Provider is providing each policeman/policewoman their needs financially,
spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically. He sends them His angels to
protect them from all harm.
Ps. 23: 3. He makes me
lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside quiet waters—Jehovah-Shalom: God
my Peace calms all fear, doubt, worry,

Ps. 23:4. He restores my soul— Jehovah-Rapha: The Lord
my Healer heals the hurts, bitterness, control,
judgments, differences, separation, wrong priorities, apathy, etc., affecting
the Police.
Ps. 23:5. He guides me in paths of
righteousness—Jehovah-Tsidkenu: The Lord my Righteousness declares them to be righteous, not for
what they have done, but because of His perfect righteousness. We ask that God
will guide them to always act with righteousness and justice.
Ps. 23:6. For His name's sake— Jehovah-M'Kaddesh: The
Lord who makes you holy will guide them to bring glory and honour

shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me— Jehovah-Shammah: God
who is there affirms His presence with them to dispels fear
and unbelief and give them the courage in every situation of danger. We ask You
Father God to release Your Holy Angels to be alongside each member of the
Police force.
Ps. 23:8. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me. We pray for the protection and correction of Jehovah Rohi God our Shepherd.
We thank You that Your comfort is as warm and tender as that of a mother for
her child (Isa. 66:13, 49:13, 52:9). We ask that You will be alongside the Police when they are called to
comfort the bereaved.
Ps. 23:9. You prepare a table before me in the presence
of my enemies—Jehovah-Nissi: The Lord my Banner of victory gives
victory over their enemies and sins, as they depend on the authority of your
crucified, resurrected, victorious Redeemer.
Ps. 23:10. You anoint my head with oil.
We pray for Your anointing on each
policeman/policewoman for the tasks that You have called them to do. We thank You
for the power of the Holy Spirit being alongside one as they fulfil their
tasks.
Ps. 23:11,12. My cup overflows. Surely goodness and love with
follow them all the days of their lives, and they will dwell in the house of the Lord
forever.

The Lord make His face shine upon you,
