Our Father in heaven Hallowed be Your Name Y@HOVAH TSIDKENU LORD our Righteousness Jer. 23:6 Thy
Kingdom come. Thy will be done. On earth as it is in Heaven.
Terrorist Threat
Islamic State in Afghanistan has established
“direct links” with British terrorist groups, provoking fears about new
“Manchester-style attacks”, the defence secretary has warned.
Y@HOVAH TSIDKENU hear our prayer, let
our cry for help come to you. Turn your ear to us and answer us quickly,
we are in trouble. Ps.102:1-2
Our God is our rock, in whom we take
refuge, our shield and the horn of our salvation. He is our stronghold,
our refuge and our saviour— from violent people You save us. We pray that You
will destroy the Islamic State in Afghanistan and prevent any more terrorist
attacks in this Nation. We ask that You will protect the NATO forces attacking
ISIS and guide them with Your Spirit of Discernment to know where the cells are
located and where they are planning to attack.
[2 Sam. 22:2-3]
According to Ps.102:15 The nations will fear the name of the Lord, all the kings of the earth
will revere your glory, because You Father God will protect Your people.
Because we in Britain sit enthroned under the shadow of Shaddai, we are hidden[c] in the strength of God Most High.
He’s the hope that holds us and the Stronghold to
shelter us, the only God for
us, and our great confidence.
He will rescue us from every hidden trap of the
enemy, and He will protect us from false
accusation and any deadly curse,
His massive arms[f] are wrapped around us, protecting us. We can run under His covering of
majesty and hide.
His arms of faithfulness are a shield keeping us
from harm. We will never worry about an attack of demonic forces at
night nor have to fear a spirit of darkness coming against us.
Don’t fear a thing! Whether by night or by day, demonic
danger will not trouble us nor will the powers of evil launched against us.
[Ps. 91:1-6]
May God himself, the God of peace,
sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept
blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is
faithful, and He will do it. Amen
[1 Thessalonians 5:23-24]
100 days of Prayer
Day 30
I am
leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift
the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid. John 14:27 (NLT)
A MAN OF
PEACE
As a
young Christian, this promise from Jesus of inner peace became precious.
Recently married, living in a new area, teaching in secondary school, was not
conducive to such peace. But this gift was transformational. My inner life
changed from ‘jagged black and white’ into a blend of beautiful colours. Since
then this ‘inner peace’ has served me well. When I have lost it, it has been
time to take stock of my life and sort out some issues. If big decisions have
been required, the peace or lack of it has guided me. Faced with scary new
challenges, this verse has set me on a calmer path, reminding me that I never
face the future alone. What a gift!
PRAYER
Heavenly
Father, Thank you that into a turbulent world you sent Jesus, the Prince of
Peace, through whom we may have peace with you. Grant again today to your
servant the gift of peace in mind and heart, through the power of your Holy
Spirit. Amen
