Transformation
“God is a father of the fatherless, a defender of widows, …He sets
the solitary in families” Psalm 68:6
We thank You for the blueprints of heaven within Your word and
for the solutions to society they contain. We declare this is the day for a
fresh excitement to come upon Your people, that those solutions that are needed
are found not in man’s wisdom but within Your word and Your heart. We decree
and declare this is a time for Your people to understand the depth, the power
and the truth of Your word concerning family.
Now, in this new season, we declare stable, healthy families
will again become a foundation of society. We declare a fresh level of wisdom
and leadership to husbands and wives, fathers and mothers, grandparents, foster
parents and carers, that strong and loving homes will be established in this
day. Proverbs 24:3
We speak health and healing to marriages and parent – child
relationships, and wholeness to children across our land, that the power of
Your love will bring change and transformation. We lift off pain, shame,
blame and disappointment and we release fresh hope and fresh joy to all those
struggling with family relationships, in the Name of Jesus.
Now, in the Name of Jesus, we speak Godly priorities over every
policy and potential policy of Government concerning families, that laws, court
judgments, finances and social care will align with Kingdom principles. We
declare new partnerships of councils, businesses, charities and Your people
will emerge that finance, training, counsel, skill and care will be available
to meet every need.
Brexit
Now in the Name of Jesus, we continue to pray for the Prime
Minister, the Cabinet and all those concerned with the final Brexit
negotiations who carry heavy responsibility at this time. We declare they
will work as a team with unity and cohesion, marked out by a mantle of Godly
wisdom, authority and stature, that Your will and Your purpose will be
fulfilled in the final Brexit deal. We decree deadlines will be met that Your
Voice and Your Wisdom will be heard in UK and Europe above every other voice,
in Jesus Name

And
God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death,
nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have
passed away. Revelation

HOPE IN DESPAIR
Hope
comes in the early hours of the morning when I creep into my little boy’s room
and watch him sleeping. His face is utterly at peace and, to me, he is utterly
beautiful. I remember the despair over lost babies and the days when all hope
failed. I remember too lying in a hospital bed at 24 weeks – somehow knowing
that, despite the fear and uncertainty, he was meant to be. Then I remember
Hannah – her prayer and the weeping; and Sarah – her despair and the laughter.
Hope does remain in the midst of despair: it is a gift from God – it tells us
that despite our own fears, he never lets go and he hears us. Hope is still
here, breathing softly and snuffling next to a teddy. Thank you for my son,
Tanoa Isaac – my ‘vessel of laughter’ – whose name reminds me, every day, of
that promise.
PRAYER
Dear
Lord, thank you for the gift of hope. Thank you too that however much we may
despair, you never let go. Amen
