Our Father in heaven
Hallowed be Your Name EL GIBBOR Almighty God Gen. 17:1 Thy Kingdom come. Thy
will be done. On earth as it is in Heaven.
Teach
me to pray
Thank You, Father, that
Jesus has borne my sin and intercedes for me, that because of His blood, shed
for me, I have confidence to enter into Your Most Holy Presence. I want to draw
near to You with a sincere heart in full assurance that as I call on You, You
will answer me and show me great and unsearchable things that I do not know.
Teach me to pray O God!
Teach me to pray Your heart, Your will, Your Word. Forgive me, Lord, for I am
often self-focused in Your presence and give into the worries of this life and
miss the blessing of praying Your heart for your Church and the world around
me. Empower me by Your Spirit to intercede for others and Your work around the
world. May I become one that You call on, even in the watches of the night, to
“build up the wall” and stand in the gap on the behalf of others – and may I
respond when You call. May the burden and intensity of the needs of a lost
world, my brothers and sisters in Christ and my community of faith so overtake
me, that I cannot keep silent day or night before You. Make me to be a watchman
for Your Kingdom Father!
Like Anna, may I never
leave Your presence, but learn to worship, fast and pray continually. Teach me
what it means to be persistent in prayer until I receive the answer, - to
always pray and never give up. Help me to rise before dawn and cry out to You,
always putting my hope in the promises of Your Word. May Your Word be in my
heart like a burning fire and Your promises my constant meditation. Mould me
Father, into a prayer-warrior for Your Kingdom. Teach me to pray in Your Spirit
that I might become one who is truly devoted to prayer and who participates
with You in Your work, even to the ends of the earth! May prayer truly become
the foundation of my living that I might be one who is found faithful, always
praying –refusing to give up. In Jesus’ name. Amen. [Pray the Word]
