Next Generation 14th September 2018
“ let no
one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct,
in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity” 1 Timothy 4:12
We
declare in this nation, a new generation of children and young people are
arising who will encounter Jesus, be impacted by His radical love and run with
radical obedience to God’s Spirit.
We thank
you for the power of friendship and covenant relationship, and in the Name of
Jesus, we speak God given wisdom and protection over our young people. We
speak maturity to them in their choice of companions and friends, and we
declare relationships formed will be constructive not destructive, that destiny
and calling will be released and not delayed.
We lift
up those starting new seasons in life: schools, colleges, universities and
jobs, and cry out that they will form strategic friendships which will pull
them into encounters with Jesus, and accelerate God given purpose in their
lives.
We thank
You for past testimonies, but we declare this is a new day, and we speak the
release of a new move of Your Spirit into our places of learning, that many
will turn to Jesus, experiencing the power of His transforming love and
releasing God given purpose. We decree these men and women will be skilled and
equipped in the natural, fired by a passionate love for Jesus and filled with
Your wisdom, that they will rise as leaders within the nation and the nations.

Peace
I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to
you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. John
14:27 (ESV)
PEACE BEYOND
UNDERSTANDING
History
has recorded many statements and quotations relating to peace. As we meditate
on the events of 100 years ago we might recall those promises and commitments
made to building a world that lives in peace. Ronald Reagan said, ‘A people
free to choose will always choose peace’ and that is surely so. Each of us who
enjoy freedom can choose a peace that passes all understanding. When we accept
Jesus into our lives we receive God’s Holy Spirit; he brings a deep and lasting
peace. Unlike worldly peace, defined as the absence of conflict, this peace is
confident assurance in any circumstance. With Christ’s peace, we need not fear
the present nor the future. In commemoration, choose that peace.
PRAYER
Father,
thank you for your gift of peace, freely given. Help us to trust wholly in you
and your will for our lives. May our actions be rooted in love. Amen
