Ps. 23:1 The Lord is my Shepherd— Jehovah-Rohi God my Shepherd

Jehovah-Rohi  is the Good Shepherd who knows His own sheep by name (John 10:11).We thank You Father God for being our Father. We pray for Theresa May to know You as her shepherd to guide her through all the decisions she has to make as Prime Minister of this Nation.

Ps. 23:2 I shall lack nothing— Jehovah-Jireh The Lord my Provider

Jehovah-Jireh, "Give us this day our daily bread (Mat. 6: 11)," We pray for Your Financial provision for Britain through all the changes taking place at this time.

Ps. 23:3 He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside quiet waters—Jehovah-Shalom God my Peace
We pray for all those worrying about the future because of Brexit and we ask You Jehovah-Shalom to calm all fear, doubt, worry, inadequacy, and anxiety with peace in their heart.

Ps. 23:4 He restores my soul— Jehovah-Rapha The Lord my Healer

We pray Jehovah-Rapha that You would heal the hurts, bitterness, control, judgments, differences, separation, wrong priorities, apathy, etc., of all those who are actively opposing Brexit.

Ps. 23:5 He guides me in paths of righteousness—Jehovah-Tsidkenu The Lord my Righteousness

Jehovah-Tsidkenu declares us to be righteous, not for what we have done, but because of His perfect righteousness. We pray for salvation for all who have not received Jesus as God's perfect sacrifice for their sin.

6. For His name's sake— Jehovah-M'Kaddesh The Lord who makes you holy.

Jehovah-M'Kaddesh says, "I the Lord alone am holy, and I make you holy because you are called by My holy name." We pray Your Kingdom come Your will be done for everyone in the UK and ask that they will bring glory and honour to Your name. Amen

100 days of Prayer

Day 43

Rise up, O judge of the earth; repay to the proud what they deserve! O Lord... how long shall the wicked exult? Psalm 94:2-4 (ESV)

The psalmist’s cry resonates: ‘O Lord! How long?’ Over the 25 years I have been a pastor I have prayed this prayer with many people crying out to God for breakthrough. It must also have been the cry of those who prayed for peace during the First World War. Waiting takes its toll. We hold on to a word or a promise from God, but as time passes, and there is no manifestation of the promise, we grow weary. I am certain the prophet Elijah was there too when he prayed for rain after three years of drought. Six times his hopes were dashed. Six times he was invited to question whether he had indeed heard God. Six times he would have had to quell the doubts rising in his heart. He stayed on his knees. He refused to let hope die. He continued to pray. He asked the servant to go back and check for the seventh time. And the seventh time was different. There was a change in the natural circumstances that signalled that the answer was on its way. A cloud as small as a man’s hand was rising out of the sea. I can almost hear the prophet’s voice strong and resolute as he gave his instructions: ‘Go down before the rain stops you’ (1 Kings 18:44).

Heavenly Father, as we pray for revival in our nation we cry out to you, ‘O Lord! How long?’ Pour out your love on our land, and help us to persevere in prayer, we pray in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen
