Prayer4UKToday 5 Sep 2018

Our Father in heaven Hallowed be Your Name Y@HOVAH TSIDKENU LORD our Righteousness Jer. 23:6 Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done. On earth as it is in Heaven.

The Lord brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; he frustrates the plans of the peoples. The counsel of the Lord stands forever,  the plans of his heart to all generations.

We pray that Your purposes will be established and Your Name glorified in

  • ·         The choice of the next Governor for the Bank of England
  • ·         Separating from the single market and good trade links being established with India, China, Japan & the Commonwealth
  • ·         Having the courage to be our own bosses under God and have control of our borders and good border control
  • ·         Establishing British Laws for Britain with our courts free to impose justice without a second opinion from the EU
  • ·         A No-deal exit from the EU

Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom he has chosen as his heritage! Ps.33:10-12

100 days of Prayer

Day 32

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV)

As a parent, I often think of peace as the absence of noise, and as a soldier, the absence of fighting. But as a Christian I have come to realise that peace isn’t the absence of anything, rather the presence. It comes from a strong inner trust or hope that things will turn out OK; that we need not fear or be anxious. Whilst ‘Don’t worry’ is easier said than done, God has made it simple for anyone to be filled with peace: trust in him, pray and ask with a thankful heart. I cannot think of anyone better qualified to handle my problems (or yours) or anyone more worthy of our trust, than the creator of heaven and earth.

Lord God, thank you that you offer each of us your peace, which surpasses all understanding. I am sorry for the times when I have not trusted you. I place my worries, and leave them, at the cross, and receive your peace. In the power of your Holy Spirit, Amen
