Prayer 16th May 2018

O LORD, open our lips, and our mouth shall show forth Your praise. For You do not desire sacrifice, or else we would give it. You do not delight in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart – these, O God, You will not refuse
(Psalm 51:15-17).

DAY SIX - Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us

Bless and thank the LORD

Blessed are You, O wonderful LORD who leads us in paths of
righteousness. we bless You our Father that You will
never leave us nor forsake us, and are with us always. We bless You LORD for always wanting the very best for us. We bless that You have overcome all the powers of darkness, and thank You Jesus that You have overcome. Bless You Jesus that the darkness can never put out the glorious light that You bring.

Scripture Proclamation

That power is the same as the mighty strength He exerted when He raised Christ from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion and every name that is invoked not only in the present age but also in the one to come. And God placed all things under His feet
(Ephesians 1:19-22).

To Him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before His glorious presence without fault and with great
joy – to the only God our Saviour be glory, majesty, power and authority through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore. Amen (Jude 1:24-25).

Declaration

We declare that God is more than able to keep us from falling, and He will be our shield and our very great reward. He is the strong tower into which we shall run, and we trust Him to protect us from the schemes of the evil one. We will abide in the shadow of His wings under His protection, and He will be our refuge.

Prayer

We pray that you will keep us safe from the fowler’ssnare and that the body of Christ will know that the angels of the LORD are
around us, sent from the Throne of God to keep us from harm. We pray that we Your people will not succumb to temptation and be led astray into things of the world that are evil. We pray that we, the body of Christ, will shut the door to the occult and all the works of the enemy.

Blessing

We  bless the body of Christ to be strong in the Lord, to know when we are weak it is His strength we can draw on. We bless the body of Christ to seek after righteousness and to allow the Spirit of God to cleanse us and renew us. We bless believers to live a set apart life, in the world but not of it. We bless the people in this Nation to turn from their wicked ways, not to seek after evil and the powers of darkness but to have an understanding of the beauty of wholesome and pure ways.

We join in the
30 Days of Prayer for the Muslim World – May 15th to 14th June 2018
Ramadan starts on the 15th of May for 30 days when Muslims fast through the day and feast after sunset. During this time they spend time seeking God.
Prayer for Muslims Day 2

We pray that Jesus will move in the hearts and lives of Muslims this Ramadan. We ask for further insight as we pray over the next 30 days.
We pray for ourselves, that Father God will forgive us when we are quick to judge and to assume. We thank Him for His love for all Muslims. We  ask that You would stir in us today a growing love for our Muslim friends, neighbours or colleagues and use us, flawed as we are, to share a little of His all-surpassing love.
If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.”
1 Cor 13:1-2.
