Prayer for Church Pastors
Fellow Christians tonight please join me in prayer...
The Apostle Paul wrote, ‘Pray also for me’ why? Because the enemy is always trying to usurp our church leaders, cause division, cause splits within our churches and church families.
I thank God for the solid churches And leaders I witness and hear of growing rapidly.
Peter said ‘keep alert and sober minded for the enemy prowls around like a roaring lion waiting for someone to attack.
Peter Goes on to say ‘resist him and stand firm in faith’
Now we can also go the other way and give to much attention to the enemy, this is not my intention in this post, please know my heart.
Tonight please will you join me in praying for our church leaders locally nationally and globally.
Loving Heavenly Father, tonight cleanse us with the blood of Jesus, forgive our sins and trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.
Spend some time with our Father asking him to create in you a clean heart so that your prayers may go unhindered, ask for a fresh infilling of the Holy Spirit, thank God for his protection over you and your loved ones, thank him that you are hidden in Christ on high.
Loving Heavenly Father we lift up our leaders, we thank you that you have anointed and appointed them, thank you for their gifting. Thank you for what they have sacrificed to get to the place where you have appointed them, thank you for refining them thus far, more Lord please.
Thank you for their courage and the ability to proclaim the gospel as fearlessly as they should. More Lord please, keep them like Jesus always pointing to you.
Thank you for their humility and loyalty, more Lord please. Thank you for shepherding them so that they are able to shepherd us, Lord let it be acceptable in your sight, more Lord please.
I ask for their hearts to be continually burning and yearning for your truth and revelation, Lord keep them to the narrow path, that they may continually walk in the light and glorify your Holy name.
We thank you for you protection over them, Lord keep them hidden in Christ Jesus in high, Lord anything sent to harm them, any members of their families, homes, possessions, finances tonight we declare them null and void and render them powerless in the mighty name of Jesus. We stand together and ask Jesus to bind the forces of the earth, the air, of fire and of water and send them to the place where Jesus has appointed for them.
Lord now by the power of your Holy Spirit will you put the names of the ministers and ministries known and unknown you want me to pray for specifically even if I don’t know where they are geographically, Lord lay those places upon my heart and lead me in specific short prayers.
For your namesake, Amen.
